Special Projects Assistance Team
Join the Team!!! The Special Projects Assistance Team.
The Volunteer Center's Special Projects Assistance Team, sometimes called the bulk mailers, has been helping local nonprofit organizations for more than 10 years.
The Special Projects Assistance Team (S.P.A.T.) currently consists of 35 on-call volunteers. When a local non-profit requests assistance with a large mailing the team is called upon to help. The S.P.A.T. members meet on the day and time arranged, receive directions about what needs to be done and away they go. While they fold letters, staple newsletters and stuff envelopes, volunteers also have an opportunity to socialize and catch up on what everyone has been doing. Many S.P.A.T. members say this is a fun way to do something important.
