Rebecca's Closet

Happy Birthday Rebecca! 
It has been two years since Rebecca's Closet was first announced to local nonprofit agencies.  Since its inception in May 2005, Rebecca's Closet has processed 600 requests for donated goods and distributed 14,237 items to 1,137 infants, children and moms.  Cloverbelt Credit Union received first place in the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Recognition Program their work with Rebecca's Closet and project founder, Kathy Jansen, was named a Woman of Vision on May 9, 2007.     

Rebecca’s Closet is a collaborative project between Cloverbelt Credit Union and the Volunteer Center. It is accessed by social service staff to help meet needs of infants and young children in the low-income families they serve.

Examples of donations accepted by Rebecca’s Closet include:
  • Cribs
  • Highchairs Rebecca's Closet
  • Potty Chairs
  • Baby Monitors
  • Infant Tubs
  • Exersaucers 
  • Educational Toys and Games
  • Pack 'N Plays
  • Disposable Diapers (partial packages are acceptable)
  • Booster Seats
  • Strollers
  • Nursery Items
  • Clothing, Boots, Hats, Mittens, etc. (size newborn to 14/16)
  • Safety Items to Childproof a Home

Monetary donations are always welcome and will be used to purchase items that don't routinely get donated.  Diapers and formula are the primary items that fall into this category.  Checks can be made out to Rebecca's Closet and sent to the Volunteer Center at 407 Grant Street, Wausau, 54403
