Sew Helpful Volunteers
Sew Helpful Volunteers made approximately 1,200 items in 2006, valued at over $9,000!
| Each year, Sew Helpful Volunteers are "behind the scene" sewing, knitting, and crocheting caps, mittens, scarves, slippers, walker and wheelchair bags, lap robes, crib sheets, Alzheimer sensory mats, occupational therapy items, and turbans for cancer patients. The bulk of the supplies for these projects come through the Donated Goods Program. The finished items are distributed through the Donated Goods Program network. |
Volunteer from home! Become a Sew Helpful Volunteer. Individuals are needed who can knit, crochet, and sew. Contact the Volunteer Center at 261-6674 or info@volunteercentermc.org for more information.
