Volunteer Connection

"Many of our students, with no interest in our co-curricular offerings, have made friends, developed leadership skills, and developed a great deal of self-esteem through their participation in opportunities made available to them through the Volunteer Center." - East High School

"We have relied upon the services and resources of the Volunteer Center for a number of needs. Neighborhood residents, along with volunteers from the Volunteer Center with the N2N Committee join together to complete a clean sweep through designated neighborhoods. The Volunteer Center and their programs provide our committee with the needed manpower to successfully remove old furniture, accumlulated trash and abandoned vehicles. They allow us the resources and supplies to pain fences, porches, garages and ultimately accomplish the goals set by the various neighborhood groups." - Neighbor to Neighbor Committee, City of Wausau

"I coordinate the after school program at Lincoln School and I have appreciated the assistance that the Volunteer Center has provided." - 21st Century CLC Grant Site Coordinator

The folks in the community are knowledgeable about using Volunteer Center services which makes it convenient for them as well. It is frustrating when trying to get information and you have to call several different places to find it. The Volunteer Center certainly supports the volunteer spirit by making it easy to follow through." - Community Christmas Dinner Steering Committee
